What happened

A run of prestige projects failed soon after grand inaugurations. New Ayodhya roads caved and the temple sanctum leaked in the first rains, a Delhi airport canopy collapsed and killed a man, and newly built bridges and airport roofs failed across states.

What accountability should have looked like

Publish quality audits and third-party structural certification before inauguration, and hold agencies, not the weather, to account when showcase projects fail.

Ministers and office-holders responsible

Naming who held the portfolio is a matter of public record. It is not by itself a finding of personal responsibility for any death or any rupee.
