Suggest a source
Some cases are recorded but not yet linked to everything that proves them. A ledger is only as good as the documents behind it, so if you have one we have missed, it is worth more to this site than any amount of agreement.
- A published report, court order, audit, or official record — not a social media post.
- A page that is publicly reachable without a login, and that still loads today.
- A source that supports a claim already on the case, rather than a new allegation. To add a new case, submit a case.
Corrections
Every case here is built from public reporting, audits, court records and official statements, and some of it will be wrong. Errors of fact, outdated legal status, a misattributed portfolio, a figure that has since been revised: send it and we will check it.
- Point to the case number and quote the specific line you are disputing.
- Tell us what the correct position is, and give us something we can verify it against.
- We aim to acknowledge within 7 days and to resolve within 30 days.
Where we are wrong on a fact, we correct the case and note that it was corrected. Where a matter is genuinely contested, we do not pretend to settle it. We record the dispute and attribute both sides.
Right of reply
If you are named on this site, or you speak officially for someone who is, you can send a response to any case and we will publish it alongside that case. That is an unconditional offer and it does not depend on us agreeing with you.
- Keep it to the case at hand and to 500 words or fewer.
- We will publish it in full, unedited except to remove anything unlawful.
- Tell us plainly who you are and in what capacity you are writing.
Naming the minister or official who held a portfolio is a statement about who was responsible for it. It is not, and is never intended as, a finding of personal criminal guilt. If you believe a case reads otherwise, say so and we will look at the wording.
Removal and takedown requests
We will take material down when it is wrong, when it is unlawful, or when a court with jurisdiction orders us to. We will not take material down because it is unflattering to someone in office, and we will say publicly when we have been asked to.
- Identify the exact case and the exact material.
- State the specific ground: factually false, unlawful, a court order, or private personal data published in error.
- Attach the order or the evidence you are relying on.
Requests that concern private personal data, or the safety of a named private individual who is not a public office-holder, are treated as urgent and actioned first, ahead of any dispute about whether the underlying claim is right.
The standard we hold ourselves to
- Nothing publishes without a citable source. A case that cannot be linked to public evidence is held back from the site until it can be, however well known it is.
- Fact and allegation stay apart. Court verdicts, audits and official admissions are stated as fact. Anything alleged is marked as alleged and attributed to whoever alleged it.
- Estimates are labelled. Any figure tagged EST is an order of magnitude, often a disputed range, and the headline totals are a scale rather than an audit.
- Reader contributions are moderated. Submitted incidents and suggested sources are checked by an editor before anything appears.
Funding and independence
This ledger is self-funded and run by a private citizen. It has taken no money, in cash or in kind, from any political party, campaign, elected official, company, foreign government, foundation, NGO or private donor. It carries no advertising, runs no sponsorship, sells no data and has no institutional owner or editorial board beyond the person maintaining it.
If that ever changes, the change will be published on this page before it takes effect, naming the source and the amount. Being unfunded is the point: there is no one who can quietly withdraw support to change what this site says.
What we keep about you
If you submit an incident or suggest a source, we store what you typed, plus a one-way hashed form of your IP address that exists only to rate-limit abuse and cannot be turned back into your address. An email is optional, is used only to follow up on your submission, and is never published.
There is no advertising, no tracking pixel and no third-party analytics on this site. Fonts are served by Google and human verification by Cloudflare Turnstile; both see your request as any content delivery network would.

Put the case number in the subject line. If you are sending a legal notice, say so in the first line so it is not triaged as an ordinary correction.
